Flyer of the Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women. It occurs when the cells in the breast tissue mutate, growing and dividing uncontrollably to form tumors. These tissues may spread to the brain, lungs, liver or other areas of the body.
Some warning signs of breast cancer include lumps, swelling or redness in your chest, and changes breast size or shape. If you see this, you should get screened for breast cancer.
To reduce risk of breast cancer exercise regularly, reduce alcohol intake and look at your family history. Also get regular breast cancer screenings.
