February is American Heart Month.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States.
Some examples of heart diseases are Heart Valve Disease, which is when the valves in your heart become too narrow and can't properly close. This can lead to heart failure, strokes and even death.
Another example is Coronary Heart Disease where narrowed arteries lead to plaque buildup, reducing blood flow to the heart. Luckily, heart diseases can be prevented by have constant checkups, at least one a year.
